The problems

 

 

 

 

The bearings were too far apart. The seal area was worn beyond use. The spindle was too short

The solution

 

Brake carrier milled to take oil seal thimble

 

Cant turn it (to big) So mill it on rotary table

 

Cover plate turned to take oil seal thimble

 

Thimble fitted.

 

New shaft & nuts

 

Thimble fitted

 

Thats it, the contoured spacer was the last job.

 

 

Just need the shoes relining and it can go back together.
