It is July 2006 and I have a really wonderful friend in Tasmania to thank for this Elliptical Cutting Frame to add to my OT collection, so thank you Stan, as I said it has to be the best birthday present ever.

I will let the pictures do the talking with just two comments, the small Victorian mahogany box I picked up on Ebay cheap as chips and it was more or less made for the job, although I had to rebuild and wax it, plus I need to line the box really, but there lies a tale, I did that for a boring head and although the glue had set and dried some moisture remained undected which needless to say did no favours to the steel work within. So I wont get caught twice.

Just to show how "petite" these things are, the main brass wheel next to the mahogany pulley is three and three quarter inches in diameter. All I have done here is stripped and cleaned the cutting frame and re-assembled it. The handles on the two tools are indeed ivory.
