The treadle came with the same machine that is donating the flywheel. I had serious issues at the prospect of cannibalising a useable machine to get the Fenn up together. Fortunately this donor is mostly an old wreck, probably the only serious use it could have been put to would have been an exhibit in a country museum, it was too far gone for any real use.
You can clearly see the serious wear on the underside of the pitman link, I would venture a guess that half and inch of metal has been worn away. |
