Like many sick things, we occasionally need donors. My Lorch was not in bad shape, but missing a lot of the items that make up a good outfit, to this end I was offered this machine.......

It gave me the lever action tailstock which I was missing, the lathe itself was not up to much, one end has some pitting to the bed, and the tail stock leg likewise.

In July 2007 this machine came on the market, it looked to have had some serious neglect in recent times as you can see the rust on the bed has taken hold, although that will come off with some effort. It has lost its legs somewhere along the line, and evident from the box the parts were in the compound has gone walk about as well. The T rest again is somewhat rusty. So I considered it to be a suitable donor, again the parts I don't use will be back on the market. Surprise I now have two lever action tailstocks...... such is life.

This lovely little countershaft I picked up in 2006, the photos really doesn't do it justice, apart from being too short for my long legged beastie, it is great, I shall in due course turn up a suitable pedestal to make this correct.
