I recently acquired this lathe in the spring of 2006, it is an extremely rare machine, a little larger than a watchmakers lathe. It was basically in very nice condition, although someone had at one time painted it with Hammerite which really had to go. I have since restored the lathe itself and taken the surfaces back to bare metal, where it was originally bright work it is again, and the only places that were painted were the castings of the headstock and tailstock. As I was unable to find any trace of the original paint I decided to take Henry Fords approach and any colour as long as its black worked very nicely I think. Of course now it needs a drive system and a few more parts.
